It is revisionist history to say the decades of comics never happened and years of television and cartoons never happened and even movies that starred the same actor in the title role NEVER HAPPENED.

Lois Lane is a slut.

Do you really want Supermans III and IV counted? Even when I was little I thought they were bad. I suppose Batman is a much worse offender because it ignores all of the previous movies.

As for Lois Lane and her kid, it has been explained that she was married when the kid was conceived. Her memory was wiped about those events. Nothing she can do about that. I suppose you can say something for her moving quickly enough to Richard White to think he was the dad, but she wouldn't have had any emotional investment in her previous relationship anymore either. Of course she had sex out of marriage but at the very least she was in a monogamous relationship with White. Most people wouldn't consider that a slut.

And I took her not getting married to White to be another way to highlight her feelings for Superman. All that time she was hoping that Superman would come back and sweep her off her feet. Maybe not honorable but the heart wants what the heart wants. And of course what happens when Superman returns is that she realizes she can't walk away from White. Nothing here makes her a slut in my mind. It isn't like there is a subplot about her doing everyone at the Daily Planet except Clark.

Umm I've been reading and colecting comics since I learned to read in 1964. This is (at the end of the day) escapist FICTION.

There is no particular wrongdoing in revising fiction. It isn't real. You can't infringe on another's copywrite without permission, but that is different. In the 1920s through the 1940s when Street and Smith produced The Shadow they made the character a brilliant detective for their magazine version, and a paranormal adventurer for their radio version at the same time. No harm was done.

This is make believe.
