A flight of F-16s going mach over your house will wake you up in more ways than one!!! Going down main street at about mach 1.5+ in a flight of F-4's or better yet F-105's would wake them up....and give them something to do the next day replacing windows and picking up glass...for that matter of course F-16's can provide for that....

"I thought the August date of Iran responding to the international pressure to talk about stopping enrichment was certainly strange...."
Thoughfull analysis. It could be the case as you indicated where Syria and Iran are actually in cahots on this one. Or perhaps as other articles have eluded to, just Syria.
Meanwhile Syria makes claims about killing some terrorist in Syria, and chasing some over the border into Lebanon.
I would think at this juncture in time the Syrians have to be carefull as who they are going to sponsor. With things shaping up in Iraq, Syria and Iran will have to be more carefull in how they play their little games.
Perhaps a major shift will be in fireing up the goons in Gaza, just to attempt to destabilize things a bit. But that will go no where really. Israel is not going to go nutzo, just apply the required military force in hot spots as required. And Syria doesn't dare put a arm out to far or it will once again get quickly cut off.

That looks like it would qualify as a target rich environment.

Should have been a flight of F-4 2000's, the F-16 is a lightweight compared to my F-4. You own an F-4? Dude!

Al-Aksa claims chemical capabilities By KHALED ABU TOAMEH
The Aksa Martyrs Brigades announced on Sunday that its members have succeeded in manufacturing chemical and biological weapons.
In a leaflet distributed in the Gaza Strip, the group, which belongs to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah Party, said the weapons were the result of a three-year effort.
According to the statement, the first of its kind, the group has managed to manufacture and develop at least 20 different types of biological and chemical weapons.
The group said its members would not hesitate to add the new weapons to Kassam rockets that are being fired at Israeli communities almost every day. It also threatened to use the weapons against IDF soldiers if Israel carried out its threats to invade the Gaza Strip.
"We want to tell [Prime Minister Ehud] Olmert and [Defense Minister Amir] Peretz that your threats don't frighten us," the leaflet said.
"We will surprise you with our new weapons the moment the first soldier sets foot in the Gaza Strip."

What is the legal justification for such an act by Israel?
I don't think we'd accept any foreign power buzzing the White House with warplanes uninvited. In fact we'd probably shoot them down, especially after 9/11.

The F16 will do barrel rolls around an F4. Even the souped up Israeli F4's. WAY more maneuverable.

The source is WND, not exactly something to hang you hat upon. It's not quite Debka but isn't so far from it.

Oh, I forgot to point out that Hamas is the legally *elected* gov't of the Palestinians. Where's the problem of Syria helping?

Saying: Hey snakes, we can take you head off at any given time and there is nothing you can do about it. Even if a rocket took out one of the planes, the smart bomb would already be on its way to the Weasels house.
