Tuesday, June 26th, the Associated Press carried the story that a scientist in Canada had discovered that having several older brothers increases the likelihood of a man being gay. Hundreds of papers carried the story that unambiguously led the reader to believe that this was new evidence of a biological basis for sexual orientation. ....

This is not the panecea that the MSM thinks it is. IF this is true (and it's a big if), the next step is the development for a vaccine that eliminates the antibodies. This is similar to the vaccine given women who are RH- and have a RH+ baby. Can you think of any mother that wouldn't take this vaccine and spare her yet to be born child the pain of homosexuality?

Unfortunately, the science is likely to lead to being able to induce the effect as well as prevent it. As wretched as that is, I have similarly heard -- on NPR no less -- of dwarf parents aborting a normal child so as to have a more compatible dwarf child. I can easily see gays getting surrogate mothers to take a few shots or pills so s to generate a gay child for them in preference to a normal one. I am such that today there would be at least three votes on the Supreme Court to declare it a constitutional right to so.

Umm, I rather think this article is baloney.

matter of national public school Policy in 2000 -yet neither of my daughters are Gay? I don't believe my son is
homosexual -but Do believe he is decieved.

Nope, my younger brother is the seventh son of the seventh son, and if he were any straighter, he couldn't bend!

Seems to me that you could as easily correlate Homosexuality to the age to the mother.
A homosexual male with many older brothers would also have an older than average mother.
An older mother would likely have decreases in levels of several endocrine system secreted hormones, enzymes and other changes brought on by age.
An anti-body brought on by successive male pregnancies seems far fetched.

"Seems to me that you could as easily correlate Homosexuality to the age to the mother."
But apparently, having a number of older sisters doesn't produce the same effect. Maternal age would be easy to control for so I am assuming it was done but so far haven't seen that confirmed.
Increased maternal age does correlate with higher blood pressure and weight in children (not Just when they are babies but later.)

I don't even know why the "older brother" thing means that you are born gay. My first thought was that would mean confirmation that it is environmental. After all, do the genes know at conception how many brothers you have?
