If Houston ever has to host a World Cup, then the terrorists have already won.
No way! Are y'all expecting? That is too cool!
I just thought I'd stick up for my favorite,, there are some good US brews...
Michelob Black and Tan
........................
I always thought it was hilarious that Michelob , Bud and Busch were all the same cheap swill ,, just seperated by specific gravity ,, especially when I found out that Busch which is usually the cheapest at retail was (slightly) better (heavier) than Bud..
OF COURSE they flooded the city after drinking that much beer.
lol!
I must admit that I enjoy watching soccer. Both of my boys have played for years.
However, I'll confess that I don't know the rules. I couldn't define "offsides" if my life depended on it.
It's the blonde.
:-)
That comes to two gallons per Hooligan.
...and that was just the women...
...and they did it two at a time.
Agreed - I have a stein from that brand from when I was in Germany, 1978-81. However, the beer I enjoyed the most was the BudWar brand from Czechoslovakia -- we had a small Czech restaurant in Wiesbaden that served it. I am hoping to see it here one of these days as I understand it is being distributed in the US.
That's kind of like being the best Haggis.
Weiss beer is nasty. Yeast infected Weiss beer is even nastier.
To each his own, I guess, but I just don't get the concept of calling another's beer preferences into question. I know it took me a while to acquire a taste for German beers when I first arrived but they became my preferred choice of drink when I was there. After becoming open to alternative tastes, I was able to try the excellent Czech brand Budwar as an alternative when dining at the local Czech restaurant in Wiesbaden.
Erdinger was my first opportunity to have a wheat/weiss beer and now occasionally enjoy USA microbrews that use wheat - Boulevard (Kansas City) and Santa Fe (New Mexico) Brewing are two of my favorites. Excellent, especially with sliced citrus, lemon or orange, to provide a contrast/compliment to the taste of the brew.
As to bringing the comparison of haggis to the discussion of better international brews, I can only conclude that your unrefined palate has left you with issues best considered with more hours of watching the World Cup without the benefit of any alcoholic spirit. Perhaps at the end of that time period, you might desire to reconsider the merits of Erdinger...:-)!!!
Cheers and beers to all!!!!
Anyway, Amber is not always a uneventful choice in brews....I've had a few that were very 'light' in taste as far as 'not filling'. Darks are great for cooking, and most people, since many do not enjoy/appreciate the dark beers, they rarely expirement with the darks, stouts, etc., in chilies, marinades, batters, seafood steaming, water smoking grills, etc.
So many good beers out there.....so little time to try them. lol!!
Good stuff. Try it for breakfast. ..lunch...supper.
I was grilling some cheeseburgers for my Dad last weekend and noticed that the American cheese wasn't melting on the patties properly. The label said, "imitation processed cheese product." I dodn't have the courage to look at the ingredients.
We're lucky the Irish didn't make it this time :D
