"
Does anyone know if this is true? It would be nice to know, one way or the other. I simply cannot believe that it is, but one never knows."
The real world tends to be a bit confusing to many.
This article is about the dreaded persecution of poor Jews. The next may be about the poor hypenated Americans.
The world is full of victims.
I simply wish to know the truth - the whole truth. If this is something that is done with everyone, without regard to their religion or national origin, then it is probably a good thing. If, OTOH, Jews are being singled out, then it is wrong. I simply want to know the facts, then I'll judge. As to "dreaded persecution of poor Jews," you might wish to review your history a bit, particularly European history during the Crusades, during the Black Death, during the Inquisition and in the 1933-1945 period. It might also be good for you to look into why Israel is the only country on Earth barred from membership in the UN Security Council, and why the Israeli version of the Red Cross (Magen David Adom) was only just (within the last 2 weeks) allowed to have its own symbol (which the Arabs and Iranians have had for decades). Sorry, but sometimes people that feel persecuted ARE, in fact, persecuted.
Again, I'm simply looking for facts. Others on this thread have, thankfully, provided some.
