You may mean the Chicoms, and most accounts says they were given to 'em. Maybe for some other considerations, like a Chinese hottie. Or maybe he already "did" the Chinese hottie and felt obligated. With Bent Willie, there's really no way of knowing.
In any case, I don't recall the NYT or any of the other major dailies being all that interested in pursuing the matter, but memory ain't what it used to be...
