Wasn't it the NY Times leak of our tracing Cell phone calls that caused us to lose a tracking ability on Osama Bin Laden? I seem recall something that goes back to Tora Bora?- where they were tracing some terrorists through the cell phone, and some media outlet leaked it so they ( terrorist's)stopped using cell phones.

Darn... Maybe it was Zarchawi? I can't remember exactly what it was about, but, it was clear that we lost some major lead/tracking ability because of a media leak.

I thought there would be outrage from president Bush and company but they let it slide by- doe-dee-doe- like it was no big deal. Anybody else recall something like this from a while back? It further illustrated how much damage has been done by these treasonous leaks.

It's about time they (Repubs) start dealing with this. They need to get tough with the media, and continue to call attention to the damage they are doing, and they need to find out who is doing the leaking and take them to trial for it.

(Personally, I like the idea of taking away the NY T's White House press credentials).

I seem to have a vague recollection of such goings on back then, but any details have long since escaped me.

So do I, and not only the WH passes. Shut 'em out entirely! More of a symbolic gesture than anything else, but it would probably still give the empty suits at the NYT some heartburn. Couldn't hurt and might do some good.

Long overdue! Let's see if it happens.

I agree. Anything less would be an insult to those who love America - and, moreso, to our Armed Forces. To me, the NYT prolonged the war - which puts more of them at risk.

2005-12-21) — Al Qaeda announced today it would relocate its international headquarters to an unnamed U.S. city in order to take advantage of espionage-free local, and state-to-state, phone calls.

“Al Qaeda will thrive in the land of liberty,” said an unnamed spokesman on a 30-minute pre-recorded DVD. “We’re still shopping for a primary location with great access to transportation and, Allah be praised, good public schools.”

The al Qaeda source said Democrats in Congress recommended the move after the The New York Times revealed that the National Security Administration listens in on communications between international terrorists and some U.S. residents.

The source said no matter where al Qaeda plants its U.S. headquarters, it will incorporate in tax-free Nevada.
