I disagree. The House has an over 95% incumbent retention rate. Once one is in, it is nearly impossible to unseat them. A good example is here in liberal infested Jersey, my congressman, Scott Garrett is one of the most conservative members of the House. People get confortable with their congreemen.
Also, Cannon is good on almost every other issue, so it certainly was not a "slaughter" for us conservatives.
It wasn't a slaughter for conservatives...it was a slaughter for those who thought they could hold the GOP hostage to their agenda.
