The irony being, IIRC, that the jerk who was charged with burning the flag, in the case that went to the Supreme Court, had stolen the flag off a nearby building. I guess the prosecutor wanted to showboat and never charged him with that.That's completely different. That's theft. A prosecutable crime. It was just ironic that the flag burner in the case (Texas vs. Johnson, I think) that went to the Supreme Court, could have been charged with theft, but never was.
