Thats a good goal but you cant do that overnight or there will be mass riots in the streets nationwide for months at a time if one month the welfare Dependant people got a welfare check and they went to the mailbox the next month and got a letter saying welfare doesn't exist anymore. You gotta cycle off these programs slowly. Its same with the income tax. You cant go from several trillion dollars a year collected in income taxes then one day just eliminate the income tax cold turke. It would cause a worldwide depression that would make the last depression look weak.
I agree, but we also can't declare a free-for-all on crack, meth, heroin, etc. while we still have piles of laws forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for all the users' "treatment" and "disability" and "homelessness", etc.
End ALL welfare.... you cant do it overnight.... cycle off programs slowly...
Step 1: prohibit ALL welfare to ALL immigrants, both illegal, legal and citizens. Historically, when an immigrant has come legally he has always been required to guarantee, and to have a sponsor who guarantees, that the immigrant will not become dependent on the government.
That needs to be enforced. An immigrant's mere application for foodstamps, medicaid, etc should immediately deport him with no hearing. An immigrant has a "right to life". But not a right to live it in the USA. The an immigrant (legal or illegal) should have no standing in court to claim his "rights" have been violated since he has no "right" to be here in the first place.
Immigration is a PRIVILEGE, not a "right".
Step 2: Cut welfare to the rich, starting with ADM. ADM's ethanol subsidy is currently making gasoline blends 40 to 60 cents more expensive than it would be if it were totally oil based. Cutting welfare to the rich would have a double blessing of reducing the budget deficit and also giving the rich incentive to use their money to chase profitable enterprises that have a demand in the market place rather than chasing products that only have a demand from government subsidies.
Step 3: Cut welfare to . . . . . .
