Mixing cooler water to the surface doesn't change the earth's energy balance. BUt concentrated convection does do that by suppressing wider convection and high clouds, less upper atmospheric water vapor, etc.

Mixing cooler water to the surface doesn't change the earth's energy balance. On second thought, it could lower the amount of heat radiated to space and warm the earth overall. I'm not sure how much, something to research.
