I am not a resident of any these states and I cannot attest to their conservative ranking, but as a conservative, I have always been impressed with Mark Sanford the Governor of South Carolina when I have heard him speak.
In his current campaign for reelection, he mocks the libs up in Columbia (state capitol for those of you in Rio Linda :).
IMHO, a genuine conservative.
