Actually possession of prescription medication ("drugs") which are not prescribed to the possessor is technically a drug violation. Rush says his doctor had the drugs placed in the doctor's name for privacy reasons.[You know any pharmacy Rush filled a vaigra prescription would be on the horn to the National Enquirer or Howard Dean]. Hope that Doctor then handed the drugs to Rush. If that is what happened, then the Doctor "prescribed" the drugs to Rush just like Doctors used to dispense us drugs in little envelopes.
Customs guys go ape when they find pills and they are in little bottles that do not match the occupants of the aircraft. Too early to assume anyone set him up, but it is always stupid to talk to cops without your lawyer. It is doubly stupid to get caught in the county where the Prosecutor hates you. (ala Michael Jackson in California).

Never heard this before ... you have a link ?
Oh, and funny how this whole thing got leaked to the press by all of the professionals at the Palm Beach airport.
I'll bet the people who run that airport are just thrilled that rich people won't want to land there anymore for fear of having their secrets blabbed to the press.
If it is indeed the case that the doc gave the scripts to Rush under a pseudonym, it should have been resolved without anybody knowing -- if the customs officials were professionals.
