(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.

Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.

Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.

Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.

Ah yes, so once again we see that not only did someone in the press evidently fabricate a story about Rush, or at least stretched supposed facts, so many here on FR were willing to believe it at a moments notice.

Thanks for that news. Actually, the majority of posts have been suspecting the validity of the original story. Yah, a few jumped the shark. This is FR after all.

I saw it somewhere in the first 306 posts. I re-checked the video from TV station and did not catch it there.


Rush has to live at the foot of the cross. And he has jabbed that ugly bear prosecutor in Palm Beach with a stick proabably to Roy Black's mortification.

Even Ann Coulter is under investigation for voting in two different states or something. Ordinarily petty things become BIG things when you are a big target (and a conservative).

There have been some rumors that "24 The Movie" might take place in the past so we'd be able to see people like Edgar, Tony, Michelle, etc. for a few scenes, perhaps on the phone with Jack.

The reason they won't do a prequel on the show is because no matter how much danger characters like Edgar, Michelle, Tony, Mason, Nina, etc. were put in, everyone would know they wouldn't die.

I felt that Bob Dole was doing a great service for people who had a real problem. That was refreshing. To have it revealed that Rush had Viagra (if true)is a whole different matter.
