P.S.   For legal reasons, I said what I had to say.

The story is not true, but it very well could be.   This is the result of another one those ridiculous laws that everyone knows could be lethal if followed and just pisses people off.

What the law does is prove you didn't follow it - If you shoot the perp, you couldn't have follow the law and they can take all your collectible valuable firearms for themselves.

Such is The Law.

First, and most obviously, because not all insurgencies are bad.

Bingo - a little revolution is sometimes a really good thing.

Americans are like everyone else on earth.
<<

To start with, our rights are Inalienable and come from the Creator, not the UN, or a committee of elites who just finished a coup.

The right to self defense is one of those Inalienable Rights.

It should also be pointed out that, like with so-called "global warming", even the words being used are ideologically chosen for effect and not for truth.

Most people are killed with small arms because governments either run amuck or fail to protect their citizens. There is clearly a bias in thinking when deaths due to petty criminals such as armed robbery is put on the same plane as, say the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Rwanda.

We can suffer a lot of misuse of firearms at the hands of armed robbers to even approach the Rwanda slaughter. And clearly, if armed citizens know that the slaughter might come to their community, they can defend against it. That just might be the proper defensive role of a *militia", a concept the Second Amendment touches on.

You know, the Amendment that is all about the right that Shall Not Be Infringed.

And, obviously, who gets to make that judgement call?

The same people who get to decide the meaning of the words used to define how the UN expresses its concern for "small arms"?

Orwellian.

"The United Nations’ conference on small arms, which starts today, has an admirable enough goal: to save lives."

This is their stated goal. ....quite different from their actual goal.

It's not about controling guns.
It is about controling PEOPLE!

Guns are just an excuse.

True, I put my pants on one leg at a time. But only because I've got a big ol' Smith Model 25 hanging on the belt.

mmmmmm, moonclips.

personally, I have the stainless version, the 625.

(is it time to start posting gun porn yet?)

All the well-deserved publicity for the movie Schindler’s List not withstanding, the movie left out how Schindler, an avid gun collector, stockpiled guns and hand grenades in case the Jews he was protecting needed to defend themselves.

An intentional omission (by the Castro-loving Spielberg).

Got a 625JM as well. But Do love the 25... it's a 4 screw shortened to 4" with cokebottle grips.

Sweet. Mine started as a 5" 625 with pachmyers.

Had SDM shorten the barrel, put on a swap out front sight, and I added the Miculek grip. It's probably my favorite IDPA gun.

The 625JM is a great value for all the tweaks you get.

I also have a 3" Model 24, the blueing was mostly gone so I had it hard chromed. It looks flat out spooky now.

Fine with me - make the 2nd amendment part of every contry's constitution!

Nice work! The prior owner must have used it to keep his tackle box from blowing away.

I snagged a 686, a 65, and a 13, all with 3" barrels so far this year. (I must be compensating for something)

When the conference ends guess who will have been found to be the evil influence in global arms?

Right, America. And then will follow the usual screw-balls in the U.S. who will call for the U.S. to "set and example" and seize all privately owned guns in America.

Meanwhile Red China will continue to churn out a zillion AK-47s a year.

It is really long past time to get us out of the UN and get the UN out of the US.
