The myopic, global tyranny-seeking UN. Scum, liars, and promoters of genocide.

It is clear that what may protect governments does not always protect their citizensThis is what governments do. Protect themselves and their toadying bureaucrats at the expense of the citizen.

I'm for global standards applying across the world. Americans are like everyone else on earth. They should abide by the same rules as everyone else."

Try it here UN gun grabbers, just try it.

Makes sense to me.
Since most of the world's population is as culturally and socially distant from our Constitution as the Moon is from the Sun, we ought to scrap it.
You know, so we all have the same rules.

Americans are like everyone else on earth.True, I put my pants on one leg at a time. But only because I've got a big ol' Smith Model 25 hanging on the belt.

If Rebecca Peters doesnt like the laws in the United states she can stay the hell somewhere else. Same goes for the rest of the world. Thats what sovereignty is all about.

Rebecca Peters states, "I'm for global standards applying across the world."
Yes she sure is -- the whole world is to be reduced to a third world oligarchy, with Peters and her ilk reigning supreme from on high, their henchmen armed to the teeth, while we "peons" are to be rendered helpless and living hand to mouth, lest we get uppity with her divine rule.
If the world sought to raise itself to the high standards set by the U.S., then "global standards" might be a good thing. Since that's completely opposite to what the U.N.'s cadres of self-anointed demagogues have in mind, methinks they can kindly and without further ado shove their "standards" sideways up their arse.

He broke into my house brandishing a .32 semi.
I have a Sig 9 under my bed and, according to the law, the ammo is in the cellar and the Sic has a padlock.
The crook killed my husband, kids and two visiting neighbors before I could load my pistol.
BUT I AM LEGAL IN MASSACHUSETTS!!!

Americans are like everyone else on earth. They should abide by the same rules as everyone else. She's both right and wrong. Americans ARE like everyone else on earth, not because we should have our rights criminalized, but because the rights of people in those countries should be respected and protected.

Rebecca Peters hasn't fully realized which nation is the most powerful on Earth, nor which populace owns the guns and why the two are linked.

"I have a Sig 9 under my bed and, according to the law, the ammo is in the cellar and the Sig has a padlock"I break all trigger locks with a hammer, so they can't be forced on anybody later. I toyed with the idea of sending them to Ol' Bill The Rat when he was pres, but decided against it.

I carry Berettas mostly, though I'm also fond of my S&W snubby. Though an NRA instructor, I'm still a girl and prefer the prettier guns.
The Sig is a brick, but it's one of the few semi-autos you can stow under your bed and it'll work five years later.
