If they don't fire him this will rate as one of the top academic "wuss-outs" ever.
Being that this is CU, I am not holding my breath. I wouldn't be too surprised to hear a "nuanced" explanation to all of us unenlightened masses as to why this man can still "benefit" the academic experience at CU.

On some level I bet Ward is hoping to be fired. In his own mind he will finally have a real reason to call himself a victim and cite his oppression. Sounds like the whole native American thing he has used in the past is just bunk.

If Churchill has caused enrollments to go down, he's history. On the other hand if enrollments are not affected he is free to be as obnoxious as he wishes.
