Well...they have turned me into a lifelong non-customer. I had only ever purchased one of their CD's which quickly found its way to a garbage can after their sophmoric pandering.

I heard that Maines is married to an Arab, which might fit in with her regard for America. You're referring to Adrian Pasdar, who was born in Pittsfield, Mass.
As for his family, his father is Homayoon Pasdar, who was born in Iran and worked as a surgeon near Philadelphia. His mother, Rosemarie Sbresny, is a native of Germany who worked as a nurse and then became an English teacher in France. She currently owns a successful travel agency. Younger sister, Anamarie Pasdar, worked as an artistic director/associate producer for the SoHo Rep Theater Company in New York City.

Other than that, I can't tell his political bent from this source (which is sometimes a good thing. If only his wife was as much as an enigma).

Id rather have a smaller following of really cool people who get it, who will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith. We dont want those kinds of fans. They limit what you can do. In other words, stick it in your ear all you Reba and Toby lovers. The Chicks are leaving all you white trash, country bumpkin losers behind and saying good riddance while theyre at it. Theyre movin on up...
Ahhhh, if only it was 1968 and their dreams of the coffeehouse crowd was true... The new reality? The Blue State people think they're too good for the "Dixie Chicks". The Chicks will never be accepted by what's left of the coffeehouse people, they're waaaay too cool for anything with the name "dixie" in it. Wow, what a joke that would be...
And the Red States? If the chicks think they're too good for us, we don't want them either. Fill a stadium with that, Chicks... Good luck.

I keep hoping that day comes too - but I'm not holding my breath.
Victimology is what liberalism thrives on. Without it, liberalism has no appeal and no base.

I hear you about Reba. When she had a 4 million dollar facelift done on her mansion, all the contractors had to sign a form that they were to never address her in any way, shape or form.If you doubt it,ask the contractor who was fired for saying good morning to her!

I am from Dallas, as are they, and I was a fan and pulling for them at first. Then they became political philosophers and I dumped them and never looked back. Same for Willie. Plenty of other good country music out there.

See, most of my information comes from the informed people of FR. We are a valued bank of information. The reason I trust FR for my news is because if something is posted with error, it is quickly corrected by another more informed poster. A self-correcting resource of news.

Sounds like what I was talking about in my other post..I know this happened because I was passing by when it did.Of course I saw she was rehearsing and at the time liked her voice..anyway the guy in the wheelchair was listening to her I don't know how long he had been there but she just put the microphone down and went to the edge of the stage and with a real ugly look on her face told the guy and me of course why don't you free loaders buy a tickle to see the show..Funny thing was I had a ticket for the 8 o'clock show and you know what I did? I tore it up..I tore twenty dollar ticket up so you see how mad I was..If I had of had the ticket with me I would have tore it up and thrown it in her face..
