Townhall and FR has been two entirely different web sites. Townhall has not been a discussion site or Board like FR is.
i am not exactly sure what they are planning on doing but it sounds like some kind of competition for FR which is great.

I just recently stumbled across Hugh's webcast and find it to be excellent.
Here is Hugh Hewitt's PREVIOUS book, from
amazon.com :
Blog : Understanding the Information Reformation That's Changing Your World
by Hugh Hewitt
"Burying the lead" is a great sin of journalism..." (more)

First saw Hugh on a nightly PBS show where he held off the other two liberal hosts. Turned me on to reading the best book about the run up to WWI.Just out of idle, irresponsible curiousity, what was the book?

Not exactly sure what happened, or why, but he stopped plugging FR after taking a lot of grief over Harriet Miers...
If so, then Hugh has joined an impressive group, which includes Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Matt Drudge -- who have been frustrated by the bone-headed comments of some of the FRINGE posters here. :(

We've got a lot of folks who are, to quote the General from Katrina, "stuck on stupid."

I've been listening for 3-4 years and enjoy the infoirmation and his humor. Nice combination.
He does seem to be pushung Mitt Romney and his socialized medicine plan. For the life of me, I don't understand why HH is so supportive of MR's state-run, taxpayer financed health plan.

what was the book? Dreadnought by Robert K Massie. Led me to reading the works of Winston Churchill.
To: Mike Darancette
OK, I read that one. Have you read Castles of Steel, which covers the actual war?
To: RonDog

I've been listening to Hugh for several years, since he came on in the mornings in Denver. Had a little trouble with the transition to evening, but now usually get in an hour or so.
Hugh was an early fan of FR and not surprisingly saw the value of blogs early on, too.
He is the best talk show around, in my book. He sets his ego aside and has a fantastic lineup of insightful and informed guests. He miscued on Harriet Meirs, but we're all entitled to a mulligan every now and then.

OK, I read that one. Have you read Castles of Steel, which covers the actual war? No, I read Churchill's WWI (and WWII) and Guns of August which is a very good read.
I'll put Castles at the top of my list. Thank you.
