Our publicly funded health care systems are close to collapse right now, in advance of the Boomer generation. And, as the saying goes, in spite of our savings and insurance, we live long enough and we all die on the county. A deluge of wasting deaths at epidemic levels would devastate us. I don't relish the thought of spending my final days on a cot in some hastily errected tent city because billions got spent on "unfortunates" who couldn't control their filthy appetites. </rant>
