John Warner is very unimpressive.

Why else do you think they invite him on to represent the Republicans?  There are only a few types of "our side" spokesmen they'll invite on:

• those that actually disagree with us
  
• those that they can discredit with some sucker punch or cheap shot
• those who are completely ineffective

I'm sure there are a few more, but very rarely will you see someone who does not represent at least one of these types.

As much as I'd like to agree, wasn't Warner introduced as the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee? If so, he would be the logical one to invite, even if he IS lame.
