Good point, Mainepatsfan! Let's also consider who is on these shows, and what it says about their agenda, both the guest and the show host/producer.

Assume that the show decides who to invite. That doesn't mean if a big name makes themselves available the host won't jump on it (say Dick Cheney, Hillary, the Presdient), but by and large the shows give us whoever they want us to see.

So last week Murtha, IMHO, came on and made a fool of himself. I didn't expect to see him back this Sunday, and he's not. Don't expect to see him for awhile, unless it's a carefully coached exchange.

John Kerry is surprisingly absent, what with his amendment (failing miserably) last week. You'd think Russert would have him on to talk about it. So either Kerry's sulking, or more likely, he'd make such a shamble out of explaining his "nuanced" position that Russert chose the more articulate liar Feingold. Feingold's just a big as moonbat as Kerry, but doesn't come off as a flip-flopping panderer, something even the liberals expect to hear whenever Kerry's talking.

Lugar is on because frankly, the man is a senile, dottering old fool who consistently forgets the Republicans are now the MAJORITY in the Senate. The hosts can get him to rail against the administration as easily as against the democrats, with the right questions. Boxer is a moonbat who Shieffer will use to bounce off new attacks against the administration.

Very interesting that ABC has Mitch McConnel who can handle himself well and hopefully, if they're on together, handle Dick Durbin.

Fox News has the idiot Levin, who loves to show his superior intellect with his prop glasses perched on the end of his nose. I hope folks see thru this nonsense but many will fall for it. The "republicans" on the show are a bunch of self-serving RINOs. I don't know if their self-promoting egos are bigger than their love for the gooey middle, but Fox chose them and that concerns me. Expect Specter to challenge the president much more than the democrats. Warner is as dense as Lugar. Peter King is a RINO, IMHO, because he has to be or he would never get elected in NY. He can be almost a traitor to the party sometimes and other times the Republican shines through.

Wolf has Biden and Hagel! LOL! They're just such perennial guests I think they're fill ins when a bigger guest can't make it. Shows you the power of Blitzer! He does snag the "Cleaning Lady" who will tell us how bad things are in our foreign policy since she left. CNN loves it's Clintoniods. Kissinger? Is he still lucid? How old is he, for goodness sakes?

Finally, where is Algore? The man is selling his movie, don't these producers care about his agenda (they do)? But he'd remind everyone why it was good that Bush won in 2000. The show producers know this, of course!

IIRC .. Feingold was co-sponsor to Kerry's Amendment

Though .. Feingold didn't make a fool of himself on the Senate Floor like Kerry did in the Q&A debate with Warner

Feingold took the easier route and hid

Good summary, AB. I agree 100%. Sunday shows usually have RINOS & Liberals. I am not aure why they are afraid of conservatives. Atleast, Brit can advise to stay away from the so called guests in lieu of full-time punditry.

There are 100 US senators and yet if one just watched the Sunday shows you'd think there were only a dozen.

Good analysis, AB.

I do think days like today can turn out well. For example, Levin and Durbin will reaffirm their far-left credentials and with any luck Durbin will embarrass himself, again. Albright is always a great reminder of just how bad the Clinton administration really was.

I am trying to stop thinking every one of these shows is going to automatically be bad because of the same old guests. Sometimes, they prove our point of how badly Democrats would be were they in charge of anything.

I suspect her heinous put the word out that if gore gets on the shows, they'll never get her as a guest.

Of course, IMO, I would rather watch gore than hilary any day.

She irks my very last nerve.

Regarding Al Gore's movie about global warming:

17,000 scientists to date have signed a petition disputing Gore's contention that global warming is human induced.

The scientists further state that the earth goes through cycles and this is but one cycle that we've seen before.

"Let's also consider who is on these shows, and what it says about their agenda......"

I mostly agree with your analysis. It is very rare to see a real conservative on any of these shows. When they're there, they're mostly "balanced" by an opposing viewpoint, and usually outnumbered in their "balance". I'm not quite as pessimistic about the outcome of this kind of agenda driven show, however. Most times, when liberals simply speak, and particularly, as last week on MTP, when they're supported and encouraged by the host, they make fools of themselves. The vast bulk of America sees them for what they are and are not persuaded.
