We did some serious trolling on Wed. 25 dolphin and three swordfish. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! Truly the Force is with you!
Don't forget to use good conservation practices, such as "catch, fillet and release". /grin

Remember, I limited myself to 7 of the 12 Republicans (not counting Warner). McCain, Snow and Graham didn't even make the list.
- John Cornyn (Texas)
- Pat Roberts (Kansas)
- James M. Inhofe (Oklahoma)
- Jeff Sessions (Alabama)
- John Thune (South Dakota)
- James M. Talent (Missouri)
- Saxby Chambliss (Georgia)
I just don't know enough about John Ensign of Nevada. Dole is not a very effective speaker, IMHO. Of the four at bottom of my list I think I know where they stand but I'm not as certain of their abilities on these shows. I like what I've seen with Cornyn, Roberts and Inhofe when they get the chance on these shows. I really like Cornyn a lot and Roberts can be very effective. He also has the advantage on this topic of being chair of the Intelligence committee, so he's a twofer.

That award for Teddy Kennedy and John Conyers is as sickening as John Murtha getting the "Profiles in Courage Award"...named for Pres. John Kennedy....blech

Duval played the part of Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird". This was in the early 60's IIRC.
I had forgot, or actually never knew, he was in True Grit. Looks like one of the older movies I am going to have to see once more, with pleasure.
I love to be reminded of roles "now" famous actors had bit parts in to start their careers.

Just heard FNsunday. I do agree with Britt Hume that to move things along as far as peace goes in Iraq there will be amnesty. Who gets it and who doesn't maybe up for debate but some form will be necessary to bring the country together.
Will that drive some of us who have lost loved ones there crazy, maybe, and rightly so. But there is no other good situation unless you want to be fighting for the next 20 years.

This fellow also said that Duval was joy to work with. Absolutely NO pretensions. If you've never seen Duval in Tender Mercies, it's worth a look. Duval plays a role that I think would be just as humble as he seems to be in real life.

While I like Pat Roberts, he has not been as effective on these shows. I have only seen Sen. Roberts do well once that I remember and then only because he got mad.
James Inhofe is good but I'm not sure better than Jeff Sessions. John Thune has been a disappointment in a few areas in not supporting President Bush so I would not rate him as high as you did. Agreed on Senator Dole.
All too often we pay defense instead of coming out on offense to promote what's right.

We did, the swords have to be 56" or something like that and we did let one go back.

Hope everyone is having/will have a great Sunday! Supposed to be 90 in Seattle today (previous record for this day is 87). That darn ol' Global Warming ;-) Keep cool as a cucumber, SC. Laughed out loud when I read your comments re "That darn ol' Global Warming." Immediately thought of the Paul Shanklin parody of algore: "An Inconvenient Al." "It'll be hotter this summer than it's been all year long."

After thinking about it I agree with your comment on Roberts. I was reacting to the time "he got mad." That was when the NSA leak was new and he was livid that the program was being mischaracterized by people who he was sure knew better.
Maybe we need to start a scorecard on both members of Congress and "outside experts" so that we can recommend people to the shows on a given topic. We need to build up a bullpen.
Shall we start a thread?

Did you see the "debate" on Fox News a few minutes ago between Karen Hannraty, Rep. vs. Robert Zimmerman, Dem.??
It was about the leak by the NYTimes...
They were talking over each other, so I don't know exactly what was said...except at the very last..
Zimmerman said that people should be MORE upset about who leaked to NYTimes..which would be true, except he said that they WON'T, because the leak came from the White House because we KNOW they leak because of the "outing of Valerie Plame"....ughhhhhh

Only Democrats and Old Media want to make this an issue or obsess over it.
Almost every war ends with amnesty of one sort or another, even our own Civil War. At least it does with non-communist nations or dictators.
I would guess Iraq will not give it to those who were involved with civilian deaths but otherwise something will be worked out. Probably an Iraqi military tribunal holding officers and bad offenders held accountable while the troops are allowed to go home if they swear to forsake the old cause and pledge allegiance to the new government.
In a way, one could even equate a soldier surrendering as a form of amnesty if the capturer does not kill him. All I'm saying is this is not a major issue at the moment when other things are more important. If this happens, and fair being fair for all, perhaps the USA should give amnesty to all US military once it's over.

You need to see a picture of the boat first. You may be doing other things before fishing. Ask Old Friend for a picture and you'll learn what I mean.

I do not understand why the dozens of CIA and New York Times employees who have peristently leaked classified information to al Qaeda are, apparently, not going to jail.Because liberal Democrats are above the law.

Neal is a rabid dog who should be put out of his miseryGood grief. Thanks for the link to the video...I'm just sitting here shaking my head. The guy is so filled with venom that he wouldn't know a fact if it came and smacked him right in the face. He also appears to have it in for Sean Hannity.
