I'd rather watch static and ghosts than allow those evil politicians into my home.
I thought Karzai really put the smack down on Wolfie...didnt' you??
Thank you, you are too kind. I always enjoy yours - lots of good info and, on top of that, your transcription skills are beyond compare! Hope your storm isn't a bad one.
Thanks SC always great to have you aboard. Congrats on last week # 3.
What did Karzai say?
I see the info about Cooper's testimony being inconsistent with what the different versions of what he wrote for Time (which makes him a perjurer). I also found an article this week in MediaWeek that he's leaving Time to join the new Conde Nast Portfolio start up business title and can believe that he's being "kicked up upstairs," so to speak, but I can't find anything about him getting fired. Do you have a reference?
Did you put the Jose Maria Aznar and Tony Blair pieces back to back with a sly implication in mind?
I love the schedenfreude for Tina, Alec, Wolfe and little Timmah in those respective nuggets.
Great catch on Andrea Jones, and I'd completely forgotten Brownstein's link to McCain when I put together the preview thread. He was on MTP and I had it on in the background, but was too tied up in the thread to do anything but listen to the tone and try to pick up any bombshells (counting on my subliminal bombshell detector).
I live to see/hear MORE of such smackdowns....long overdue.
Isn't he responsible for Mad Albright's drinking & dancing with Kim Jong?
Can you please give me the short version of Karzai's comments. Our media has been full of him complaining that we aren't addressing the root causes of terrorism in his country.
Karzai was great! I didn't get to hear all of it, but I loved when he disputed Time. Something to the effect of they had it all wrong - they only come here for a day and go home and right a story. Things are different from what they said. He got Wolfie and Time in 1 swoop - HA!
LOL... :-)
There is a perfectly apt editorial cartoon in Investor's Business Daily of June 22, called "Soldier's Burden."
My computer is on its last leg and I'm having trouble accessing. I think the cartoon and editorial would fit right into the discussion of the Dem/Media piling on our troops.
Could one of you see to it? I think everyone would appreciate seeing it.
Very true. It's so frustrating! If Clinton focused as much on National Security and the safety of our Military and maintaining it, as he did his fly, much of the trouble we're going through today wouldn't have been necessary.
Do you have the pic of Maddie dancing w/him? I remember her wearing yellow....big fashion mistake imo. LOL
You may learn things from this thread, but I assure you, your contributions are invaluable. We owe you a great debt of thanks.
Blitzer will be my hero, at least for today, if he confronts Albright about the N. Korea debacle.
Money says he will NOT!
Be interesting to see how things improve, or NOT, under Goldman Sachs.
Albright said she'd just returned from Russia. No reason given....or who sponsored/paid for the trip.
Thanks Rod. Gotta run to meet my nephew - hope to see all of you great folks later.
