No he never went to Korea in the USMC.
My bad.... I knew he enlisted in 1952 but was relying on some blogs that he served in Korea. The internet is wonderful but false info spreads like wildfire at times.
Again my bad and I'll take my lashes with the wet noodle. Thanks for correcting my error. Murtha has problems and I think they'll continue to surface. There are at least three versions of his Purple Hearts but I'll give some ground on those that were where there in country where danger existed even in the corner cafe.
