the Abscam bombshell that has been brought BACK to light

this is what we need to concentrate on - it was mentioned back when murtha first opened his traitorous mouth - that he was putting up a screen to protect himself from an investigation that was on the horizon.

The rationale was that if the republicans exposed him now it could be spun as retaliation and thus not to be believed.

Time to call this bluff - and I suspicion he became point man on this diatribe against our troops and the cut and run crappola as a waterboy for kerrykennedyreid and gang by accepting an offer he couldn't refuse. He carries the water, they cover for him.

What's really important about Muthra's role in Abscam is not that he was not indited but that the only reason he wasn't, was that he was holding out for MORE money.

I think you are probably 100% correct. The problem is, the Democrats made a MAJOR mistake by picking such a fallable joke to be their mouthpiece against the war. Murtha needs to be broken and shamed in the eyes of the American people and shown to be what he is. An opportunist and a traitor to all those who have REALLY worn the uniform of the United States military.
