Well if JM thinks ever occurence in war, bombings, pow's, hand to hand combat is murder, is he ready to stand trial for his "murders" during his "heroric service"

I think the evidence posted by many here that lines up with the post I made kinda speaks for itself. Army EOD stated clearly he checked into it and Murtha did not serve in Korea. And there are MANY links posted in this thread now that really nail Murtha to the wall. The Congressman Bailey comments have been backed up by others here as being factual. And the person I got the email from did their due diligence, and so far all that's happened is that more has been uncovered. It now appears that even his Bronze Star was unearned. How does an Intelligence staffer get a Bronze Star in Vietnam? He was a staff officer. Not a combattant. I think this is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to the fraud that is Murtha "military" career. :) So far I've found nothing that would indicate anything I posted is anything less than factual. Murtha's total unwillingness to address any of these things is pretty suspicious also. :)

Thanks for clarifying that. How pathetic. How was he allowed to do that? It's so obvious he was just looking for fluff to make it harder to run against him in Congress? So pathetic.

You got that right. Murtha wouldn't make a pimple on a good Flight Attendant's a** either. :)

I wonder who was pulling the strings for Murtha helping him get these bogus awards and promotions for his future political career? It was the Forbes family that pulled strings for John Effing Kerry. Who was string pulling for Murtha? He's obviously nothing but a fraud consdering all the evidence now coming out against him. Up until the past couple weeks, I thought he was just a traitor who forgot what it meant to serve in the military for love of country. Now it's clear Murtha is a fraud and a criminal who avoided indictment by he skin of his teeth, and he claims medals he has no right to claim.

Murtha should be stripped of what little pathetic military service he's been able to fabricate. Why are people like him allowed to get away with this when it's clear they have carried out fraud like this? Where's the accountability?

So he didn't serve in Korea either. He isn't just mostly a fraud, he's 100% a fraud and nothing but!
I've read nothing that he's said that says he served in Korea.... Lots of blogs have that info but nothing on web sites say so.
He enlisted in 1952, a recruit going through basic training. He rose to the rank of Drill Instructor and then was accepted and completed OCS. He's probably embellished his record and acheivements but I'll not condemn him for enlisting and serving.
Not all serve, I did, he did, many did but many didn't.

Good morning.
"Murtha needs to be broken and shamed in the eyes of the American people"
That is the truth and doing it is something many people in the FreeRepublic are good at.

Is it just a coincidence that both Kerry and Murtha lobbied for medals, then went on to become politicians? Between the both of them they have 5 Purple Hearts with nary a limp or visible scar and they both guard their Service Record contents like Nuclear launch codes.

Many people give Murtha credit for 39 years in the military, but he retired in 1990 with 27 years combined = 4 yrs Active Duty/23 yrs Reserve (Weekend Warrior) time,
Not sure where you got your education nor what type math they taught but he has more than 27 yrs by the data your posted.
Enlisted in 1952, retired in 1990 with continious service either in the active corps or the reserve.
1990 - 1952 = more than 27.

How does an Intelligence staffer get a Bronze Star in Vietnam? He was a staff officer. The Bronze Star can be awarded for non-combat service. The question is the "V" (signifying valor in combat).
Navy CNO Jeremy M. Boorda committed suicide when his wearing of a "V" on his Navy Achievement Medal and on a Navy Commendation Medal were investigated and found to be unearned.
What troubles me is why a copy of the text of Murtha's Bronze Star citation that would clarify the matter in his case cannot be found by a Google search.
Does anybody have a copy of the text of Mutha's Bronze Star citation?

The accountablity is with the voter. Unfortunately, the voter will never get the straight scoop since he has never released his Service Record. There oughtta be a law...

Thank you. That's just some of what has become more clear the past couple weeks, and since I posted this thread as a matter of fact. The thing I've found out since posting this is that he's an even bigger fraud both when in uniform and in Congress, and just as a human, though I hate to call someone like him "human" given his total lack of any kind of ethical or moral presence in his life. The massive body of evidence that's been posted here by so many people, and all the information and websites linked here says it all. Murtha is a fraud and needs to be broken and shamed in front of the American people. He is neither qualified or justified in making his radical traitorous statements about Iraq and our fine honorable military.
Murtha was NOT a Marine. He was a poser wearing a uniform that was far beyond his ability to deserve to wear or comprehend. Murtha no more deserved to wear the uniform of a U.S. Marine than did Adolph Hitler, Josef Stalin, Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden.

Amazing! So Abscam wasn't the only instance of his tendency towards illegal acts while a Congressman. How do people like him constantly get away with this crap? It's so frustrating! I hope this investigation comes to a head quickly to destroy him and end his time in Congress, and by proxy end his abuse of power and the Taxpayer dollar, not to mention his abuse of the U.S. Military.

What's bad is, it seems clear that through his whole life, he's been nothing but a fraud and a liar. He has no honor and no integrity. I want to find out more about this probe into his misusing defense funds. The lies and deceit and theft just never stops with Murtha.

Yeah, like John Kerry, he wants to punnish those today for supposed war crimes in Iraq, and says he committed them in Vietnam and is a "murderer", but for some reason doesn't want to be punnished for those "crimes". They're just hypicritical garbage.

Based on how this is turning as the weeks go by, you shouldn't credit him for volunteering and "serving" either. You volunteered and served for love of country and because you knew it was the right thing to do. The evidence is suggesting that Murtha only joined with a political carrer end in sight. That well and truly takes away any kind of selfless or honorable credit he should get for joining.
Like Kerry only joining the Navy to get a political career, and requesting the PBRs because thought that was an easy assignment and was too stupid to know they would be going up river in heavy combat, not just off the coast. Murtha is a genetic mutant that believes that the military is only good as a political stepping stone. The military is NO ONE'S stepping stone.

Just like Kerry. And Kerry LOST in '04. There should be a big public push for Murtha to sign form 180 and prove the truth. But he won't do that, just like Kerry didn't, because he knows the truth will only prove he's a fraud and a liar with no honor.
