Hey Dane - what do you think of Liz Dole and the NRSC who supports Chafee over Laffey? Or when McCain & Company campaign for RINOs over conservative candidates? You bash Tancredo over support Jacob but it's OK when the establishment PACs do the same thing to true conservative candidates?
Leo: "Of course, the Dane always knows about the fix."
Dane: "What the Hell is that supposed to mean?"
Leo: "Let it drift. All it means is a lot of people know."
"Miller's Crossing"
I know this is hard to understand, and I don't like Chaffee myself, but he is the ONLY Republican who can win in Rhode Island. If a conservative beats him in the primary, a democrat will win in November.
And as far as Chris Cannon, I think people forget he was one of the impeachment managers and worked hard to put Clinton's failings out for the world to see.
I think Cannon is deserving of Republican support. He has done a good job.
......(..trying to whisper really, really quiet here....
...EEE, are you SURE you want Dane to come to this thread??....The last thread I came across concerning Cannon that Dane participated in, I learned more from the posts that Dane made on the thread about Willard Scott and Bryant Gumble's somewhat "rocky" past relationship, than Wikpedia has on their web site.
...I did cut and paste Dane's posts from that thread, on to the ones on Wikpedia that has Willard and Bryant.....
...I got a Thank You e-mail from them.....)
Dane and Amishdude are one and the same.
He'll post under dane for a while, then switch to Amishdude.
Under either name, he does not seem to get it.
When the House holds their "Public Field hearings" a lot of stuff in the senate bill
will cause great anger in the Conservative base. We have already heard some of the things. Buit when these hearings expose the Senate bill in all it's give a ways.
It will futher anger a large part of the base.
Wait until September rolls around, you can be sure we'll hear how we just have to elect Chafee to keep the democrats from getting that seat and he has a 100% ACU rating blah blah.
Not comparable. Chafee is a sitting member of the NRSC, the campaign arm of the GOP caucus, so the NRSC will support him. Laffey is not.
Nevertheless, lose, Chafee, lose!
