Of course I'm overjoyed that there are so many people here who won't be intimidated by these Nazi tactics of the homosexual Left....my concern is that the vast majority of voters are not committed activists such as what is so common here at FR and a great number of people are rather apolitical although they may well have strong feelings about such issues as the protection of marriage, and when they are told that their names and addresses will be published by a very hostile and antagonistic minority, a lot of people will simply not sign because that's the easy solution...eventually it will become the norm that the only people who sign petitions that deal with incendiary and contentious social issues will be the committed activists. This tactic of the Left will only shrink the overal number of signers, not increase them. In the matter of initiatives, they are often "squeakers" in that the proponents frequently have only barely the required number of signatures available for submission when the deadline approaches. Signature gatherers and people who put themselves on the line to defend marriage deserve all the help they can get, and when you have a situation where the non-activist majority is intimidated into nonparticipation and the only signers are the fearless activists, I am concerned that this is not going to help the larger picture, which is a matter of sheer numbers.
That being said, more power to you all who refuse to be intimidated by the Left :-)
