Please say you're kidding?

I'm dead serious. We know that keeping the promises made by Social Security is going to eventually require tax rates that will impoverish people of working age. That's unsustainable, not to mention immoral. We either a) impoverish youthful workers so we can sit on our butts; or b) retire later, if at all; or c) save for retirement ourselves.

The whole idea that "the government's going to support me in my old age" has to go. It's about as sensible as thinking, "the government's going to save me from a hurricane." We all know how well that worked out.
