Sonny decided to collect a few cents less in taxes does not alter the price necessary to balance supply and demand, but it would reduce costs for retailers, and thereby increase their profits.

In a real sense that could have happened but the public perception was that the amount they payed at the pump decreased by 15 cents because a Republican did a good thing. I don't mind the retailers being the true beneficiaries of the cut.

What is she for? I'll have to look up and see what party she is associated with.

She is for nothing. That should be a dead giveaway that she is a Dim.

Probably concerning her Diebold eVoting machine fiasco.

My daughter was an insider on the certification process. They used part-time Kennesaw University students run by a CSIS Professor Emeritus. That probably speaks for itself.

>>Dr. Brit Williams is the chief consultant from Kennesaw State University who performed the certification test on the Diebold touchscreen machines used for the state of Georgia. At the March 9, 2005, meeting of The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Technical Guidelines Development Committee, Williams said, "Right now the primary use of wireless technology in a voting system is to program voting stations. Because if I have got 3,000 voting stations and I have to load those with pc cards, then I have got to sit down and manufacture 3,000 pc cards, and keep them separated by precinct. Whereas if I could sit in my warehouse and load those ballot images wirelessly, there is a tremendous advantage."Copyright © 1998-2006 Online Journal

Boss Sonny for Prez? Haw haw haw! A lotta folks laughed at the idea, but it became more credible when he pulled the gas-tax stunt back in September (of course the GA DEPT of REVENUE got all that money {and then some!} back)...they can adjust the taxes as needed)....but the Sonny-sycophants just adore him anyway. Sister Billie Shipp with perhaps half his tongue planted in cheek hinted at the idea of Perdue's national aspirations in a column some months ago.
Shipp: Gov. Perdue's actions show he may be aiming for a national role

I'm no fan of Shipp's, but he seems to hate Perdue more than the average citizen and the average flagger. And of course, I immediately hocked up this idea into a parody... B.S. Perdue's new slogan is similar to the new Georgia marketing slogan: 'Put your schemes in motion!'

B.S. has MORE than Georgia On His Mind.... What can the Dukes of Heritage do to foil the B.S. scheme? To be continued... The full version with music can be found here: B.S. Perdue announces new slogan for Georgia. Oops, I guess I let it slip that I'm not one of Perdue's Prevaricating Parrot Posse. I have no use for the Liar.

One term Governor Roy Barnes had aspirations for President, too, but he had to settle for the Profiles in Courageous Stupidity Award from the Kennedy bunch. The only rational reason for Barnes to pull the stupid flag stunt was to paint himself as the courageous "New South" Democrat with a bad haircut. Perdue has him beat for bad haircuts AND for more skillful deception. It's more brazen than most Georgians realize...but it's common knowledge that Perdue lied (lies).
