yeah, but Alice Cooper is actually a bright guy, so for him that's true.

Springsteen, on the other hand, is a fool--- whether in comparison to tv talking heads or anyone else.

"Is it me, or does Bruce of Colts Neck always look and sound constipated?"

Constipated all the way to the bank. Funny how this so-called hero of the working class charged his working class fans a ridiculous amount of money for tickets to his infamous Kerry fund-raiser concert tour in 2004. I wonder how much was skimmed off the top for "expenses"?

>...whether musicians should speak out on politics<

Come on, the Beatles have been doing it since the early 60's, much to my chagrin. Thank God my kids weren't at the "Flower Children" age yet, and I could control some of what they listened to and saw on television. But since then the floodgates have opened and our teenagers have been fed bad ideas almost subminally ever since.

Arlo's definitely more convincing. I didn't know he grew up in Brooklyn and wouldn't from his music.

"Let's see... Bruce is a high school drop out while Ann went to Law School... Bruce has been a musician for the last 40 years while Ann has worked in and commented on the US Government for the last 20 years.

Why not let Ann write the books and make political commentary while Bruce, you do what it is you do... Ann promises not to record any CD's."

Excellent points!

There must be some grand design in the fact that both Streisand and Springsteen have "BS" as their intitials.

Ann dwarfs Brucie intellectually, and it is likely that she can sing better (not saying much).

Bruce Springsteen? The guy who sings patriotic songs and then brags about saying he was a queer so he didn't have to serve in the military?

Or makes money singing patriotic songs and then bad-mouths the military and his country?

How Fondaesque.

The last straw for me with that idiot is when he started singing his '41 times' song.

Be nice to see Ann Coulter rip him in a column. Then again, he's really not worth the effort.

I'd like to give him a tap on the snout with me knuckles myself, because: Many a man's mouth broke his nose.

These two from the '70s were very good. Once he became rich, he became guilty and then became obsessed with showing himself to really be just a working class guy.
