NEW YORK Appearing on CNN today to promote his current tour and album of Pete Seeger songs, rocker Bruce Springsteen took note of the current controversy surrounding Ann Coulter in responding to a question about whether musicians should speak out on politics..

Isn't that a bit like a professional wrestling fan mocking a navy seal?
Like this guy? Make fun of him for a Twofer!
I would love to see him debate Coulter.
She would tear him up.
I don't think he has carried any "blue collar" fans with him since the 1970's. He has a lot of limousine liberal fans who describe the preachy multimillionaire singer gouging fans with extreme ticket prices as an "everyman" entertainer.
BS has always had a God awful voice. Sounds like he's just screeching. What is his appeal??
Coulter would make mince-meat out of Springsteen. All she would have to do is ask him questions and expose his ignorance. Macho Springsteen getting pummelled by a "girl". Now that I'd like to see.
"As for the Iraq war, he commented, "You dont take your country into a major war on circumstantial evidence -- you lose your job for that. "
I thought GWB was re-elected???
Bruce, stay away from the AMP's they are damaging your brain.
The only thing he ever did that I halfway liked to hear (but not see) was Born in the USA.
He was a shitty vocalists back in the 1960s & 70s. His voice sounds like he gargled with Drano.
His concert got bad reviews so he bashes Coulter!
Making fun of Ann Coulter seems to be one way to get into the news.
These guys are fishing for a line.
These musicians don't really give fans of their music much choice.
If they want to go to the concert, then it means that they have to listen to political commentary (on their own dime and time), and political commentary to which they are not allowed to respond.
So I don't see that conservative fans really have much choice but to stay home.
I recently went to a local venue to hear two folk artists. The first one was great. The second one was a guy from Canada who was really different and good, but halfway through the show, he decided that the would do a Bash-Bush song called 'Junior' and I swear it wasn't even original. It was a bunch of strung together cliched 'Bush lied people died' type lyrics. OK, there were some in the audience who obviously liked it and cheered. But there were a lot of us who just sat there, and of course out of politeness, you just sit there and they get to have their say.
But as soon as he was done, a good bunch of us just high-tailed it out of there. Normally at these things, the audience stays and talks to the artist and buys their CDs. but this guy lost at least half his audience, and that amounted to several hundred dollars in CD sales.
Touche'
As did Pete Seeger when I went to college 40 years ago. Both Jane Fondites.
It's truly sad when these idiots begin to believe their own press releases.
"Springsteen. What a maroon!!!!!"
Maroon=Musician
His music sucks wet dog fur...always has and always will...He needs to look at being the opening act for the Dixie Hicks...
"You dont take your country into a major war on circumstantial evidence -- you lose your job for that. "
Since when did Springsteen ever have a job??? He really was one of the best till he got demorat on the brain . What a freakin' a$$hole he turned out to be .
"Pete" Seeger songs? God, can't wait to spend $60 to hear this a-hole singing Little Boxes (Made of Ticky Tocky...)
He always has been Dem. The day after Reagan was elected in 1980, Springsteen gave a speech at his concert about how scared he was where the country was going.
