Speaking of easy to be a critic...easy for you to pretend she's scared to or incompetent to do that job I doubt she even has experience running a McDonalds shift much less a large government agency. Her role isnt just to pontificate policy and create slogans, its to get policy implemented and that is the hard part. Presidents have had the mistaken understanding throughout the countries history that all they had to do was command that something be so and it would be done. Nada. Not in this life.

Or...how about Oliver North?
To: Just another Joe
Amen!
Worse appointment made by Bush (a Democrat!)

Farewell to this colossally self-centered PC moron, who was willing to sacrifice the safety, convenience and propriety of American travelers upon the altar of diverthity and non-dithcrimination. I'm sure that all the Jihadists who were able to get past his TSA inquisitions and grope-fests, are highly appreciative of not being singled out for the special attention that might reasonably come from fitting the profile of 99% of terrorists. Mineta instituted all the fascism of a police state in our airports, without a whit of additional security for either the state or its citizens. Didn't think that was possible, but he did it. Somewhere, there's an honorary bust of Norm Mineta - sitting in an Al Qaeda training camp. Amen!

At least she would have the right policy to get implemented!

"At least she would have the right policy to get implemented!"
And a bully pulpit that, unlike so many others in the Bush administration, SHE would use when she encountered problems in conservative policy implementation.

('Is' and 'amnesty' both have clear, plain meanings. Are Billy Jeff, Pence, McQueeg & Bush related?)

I heard this on the Roger Hedgecock show. Roger said Norm was detained in one of those Japanese camps as a child (thus hates profiling), AND had hired a Mooslim for a top spot in his administration. The mooslim had a lot of influence, apparently, in determining profiling of Mooslims (arabs).
Geez. He should have resigned a long time ago. He had too much baggage.

I snuck on at my hotel's internet connection during my Alaska vacation.
Apologies to you, though not to him--"walk and chew gum at the same time" is a cliche used to indicate the person spoken of is not exactly the sharpest bowling ball on the rack. It was often used of Gerald Ford--all the funnier due to his physical clumsiness...
Cheers!
