Haven't been a fan of stratfor but this article covers a lot I've been saying about chemical weapons - people work themselves into an emotional frenzy over them but the reality is that for the same money and effort simple explosives are more deadly.

Aum Shinryko had a lot more money and a lot more brainpower (they had tons of multidegreed-engineer types) than your average terrorist cell.

Like I've said a lot, for whatever reason people are more creeped out from dying from chemicals (or even just being exposed to radioactivity) than being blown to bits by shrapnel or being burned to death.

Even in light of the security measures taken following the 9/11 attacks, there remain in the United States a great many "soft targets" that are difficult, if not impossible, to completely defend from a terrorist attack.

Armed citizens could make a difference.
