Why did Sensenbrenner come out in support of Chris Cannon? It makes me think Sensenbrenner is back-peddling the illegal immigration issue.

Don't know. He did a few ago as well when Cannon had to go against Throckmorton in the primary. Based on the number of undecideds this time around though it may not help Cannon as it looks like Jacob has a real shot of winning.

It's call the "good old boy network" that President Bush (Karl Rove, who was playing odds to WIN Republicans seats 2004 regardless of where these idiots stood) played with Santorum/Specter.

Just as Rush says about Bush, he IS NO conservative, period.

I personally, desire to get all RINOs out of office as soon as possible and do it in a way that still wins elections.

It can happen in 2006 especially over the Illegal Immigration issue.

That's also why Sensenbrenner took it off the "table" for now as it was "divisive" between Republicans.

The Administration believes that it would lose votes on other issues, besides Bush believes that there is no illegal immigration merely "wonderful families that just want a chance."

Cannon is a solid conservative, with a ten year track record and a 97 ACU rating.

Jacob has his "FastPass" which grants any illegal holding it eventual amnesty.

Jacob's finished after admitting to that little item.

Leaving aside discussions about how strong Sensenbrenner is on all aspects of the issue, no use going there, I'd stick to the obvious conclusion.

If one Republican loses a primary, they can all lose a primary. Gerrymandered districts are supposed to protect most of them from being fired. When that doesn't work, the full weight of the party apparatus is supposed to caccoon them. Money, endorsements and the like in primaries. It worked for Specter.

There's a possibility he's also friends with Cannon or perhaps they have another issue Sensenbrenner believes him to be key on. But I'd stick with the most obvious being the truth. If a 5 time incumbent can go down, they all can go down. And that isn't a comforting thought to suddenly discover you really are subject to the people above yourself, lobbyists and other politician cliques. It's a fear conservatives, liberals and everything inbetween in washington have in common.

Hence, the endorsement.
