Few people know about the fight at the Medak Pocket . Our Liberal government of the day thought our soldiers actions not in keeping with the UN image . What the hell did they know anyway?
Sorry I don't know that much about the politics of the area

These are the Canadian soldiers picking up the dead bodies of Serb civilians. They didn't stop any of the killing of Serbs nor the complete destruction of the Medak Pocket. They did however kill something like 17 attacking Croats - who were attacking them, and they have spoken about the atrocities and what they witnessed. The Hague court and the mainstream media aren't really interested in their testimony or photographs - so it's a coverup in a sense. The Croats did similar destructions like this but usually the UN-ers deserted and didn't fight, witness or speak of what happened to Croatian Serbs.

The Somalia incident was made public just prior to the Medak pocket battle. The Canadian government wanted to see this incident forgotten to avoid another perceived scandal. It took 10 years for the Government to acknowledge what actually took place.
