Too bad Google earth satellite images are not more current. Know images I've viewed are about 3 years old.

YEs...but for fixed structures (dry docks, berths, storgae facilities, etc) they lat. and long. remain pertinent.

The picture of my house is ~2 years old.

As for the quality of the images, our surveillance satellites can look down at that flattop and tell how many dimsum are left on the captain's plate.
