If that is true, how many airplane lengths will it fly straight up before changing directions? I don't think it reasonable to believe it went straight up any significant time or distance. Change in velocity(speed and direction), change in center of gravity, change in thrust, change in drag, change in lift, I suppose all that could just balance out. But that sure would be a lot of coincidences.
