Forbes list only place where 'Sopranos' tops 'Star Wars' (Richard Roeper Catfight w/Ann Coulter)

A number of readers have asked why I haven't weighed in on Ann Coulter, the harpy-racist-homophobe who hates liberals like a 4-year-old hates vegetables -- although the 4-year-old expresses his hatred in a more sophisticated manner.

How about this comment -- not from Coulter's book, but from her Web site: "Let's pause for a moment to observe that two facts are now universally accepted: Liberals are godless and Hillary [Clinton]'s husband is a rapist."

Somewhere, Stalin must be smiling. Coulter must really hate her country to make such an un-American statement. (Did she go to law school at the University of Unsubstantiated Allegations?)

As for Godless: the Church of Liberalism: I have a copy and I've thumbed through it, but I just can't bring myself to read Coulter's increasingly nutty diatribes.

But hey, I did love her in "Transamerica."

My take with all the Sun-Times columnists like Roeper, Mariotti, Couch, Sweet, and Carol Marin (and libuners like Zorn, Schmich and Page) is that they all been advised that their readership is mostly (homely) women, gays and Oprah-watchers. To get readers they've got to consistently pander to the vapid readers who buy People, National Enquirer, etc. They're all a pathetic reminder of the glory of what was in the 20th century a great newspaper town.

During my days in Chicago, I met a number of young women who claimed to have dated the poof, which was quite useful in using the occasion to move to another young lady. Unfortunately, he's a White Sox fan and has come out with a book on the Sox, so he's hitting all the same outlets of AC has been doing. (Leno, last nite) The Trans-America joke is just his way of snarkily baiting Ann using the DU playbook. I'd love to see AC pointing to her booksales (hey Richie, SCOREBOARD!), but then this lightweight is really not worth the time

I can't watch the 'At The Movies' show since Siskel passed on. Roeper and Ebert just fawn over each other--when they 'disagree,' it's so unsubtly set up.
