Refresh my memory: how many Iraqi attacks on American soil were there prior to the invasion?
I supported the attack on Afghanistan, which actually disrupted the operations of the terrorists who attacked us. Jumping on this issue to justify the invasion of Iraq is just peculiar. As I mentioned in my post, the Duelfer report went into considerable detail on the provenance and condition of the rounds that had been found to that point, and they weren't impressed. It's near impossible to extract the chemicals from the munitions, they're no longer usable as artillery rounds and when used as IEDs, the chemical components of the binary rounds don't have time to combine even in the event they haven't degraded beyond use. And of course they wouldn't be used as IEDs absent the invasion.
I wouldn't want to run across one in my neighborhood, but the cost/benefit ratio here seems a bit lopsided.
Refresh my memory: how many Iraqi attacks on American soil were there prior to the invasion? Please refresh mine. How many Japanese attacks on American soil were there prior to 12/7/1941? Wouldn't it have been nice to have destroyed their carriers in October '41? |
Do you want the list of financing, the documented meetings between SH's folks and AQ or should we just recognize that AQ is very busy making a last stand in Iraq right now. The result of which is distracting them from attacking us at home.
Would you prefer that they aren't engaging directly with our military and instead were engaging with our civilians?
Mustard gas (HD) doesn't degrade quickly either. There are still mustard gas munitions being found from WW2 and they will tune you up just as quick as newly minted ones.
Non binary Sarin does degrade but the rate at which it degrades is dependent on the manufacturing process and additives.
The relationship between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda never degraded. Saddam love of chem weapons stemmed from his wars with Iraq, he was a committed CBR man. He used chem weapons to terrify his own people.
Inconvenient facts to left loons but facts none the less.

Just one source to educate yourself. It may help you from making such ridiculous, utterly sophmoric arguments in the future.
Refresh my memory: How many tons of chemical munitions did the Iraquis possess at the time of the UN report? How far along did the UN and world intelligence agencies estimate the Iraqi nuclear program to be? Where did all those munitions go? Finally, which country was the most financially capable, the most technologically proficient, and possessed the greatest degree of phychotic bloodlust necessary to assist AQ in an attck upon US soil?
If you guessed Iraq, you're correct for the first time on this thread.
At least St Kennedy had the final nerve to defend us, against the wishes of the 60's democrat elite. Now, the democrats are merely shills for international socialism - with allegiance to the UN over all.
