This is the liberal response to the WMD find: "Santorum recycles bogus Iraq WMD claims"

Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum has been making the rounds claiming that the US has in fact discovered banned weapons in Iraq. The claims are based on the continuing sporadic appearance of pre-Gulf War I munitions containing variously disintegrated chemical weapons, and the Pentagon has said that the claims are crap: the munitions in question, mostly artillery rounds, are unusable and have been for years...

My understanding from the weapons expert O'Reilly had on last night, was that degraded means the stuff is no longer a highly volatile liquid, but has turned into a sort of goo. It doesn't flow well, so the artillery rounds wouldn't work properly. Seems to me the terrorists haven't exactly needed artillery tubes to make artillery rounds do their bidding up to now. That is only for the mustard gas shell and not the Sarin shell. However, there is a thread going around showing the UN says this mustard gas is in quite good shape after 12 years of storage.

Well, then aside from your general snide remarks, it seems we have the same knowledge in this area. Though you may think I am taking the subject candidly or ignorantly, I can assure you, I am not ignorant nor am I being candid. I cannot stand the rhetoric from both sides on this issue.
Point I am making is... If you want to categorize these canisters as WMD, fine...
You want to count anything after one, mass, fine... by your definition, any weapon that can kill numerous (anything after 1) living beings is a WMD - including a hand grenade, which is only has an effective radius of 15 feet.
My take on the mass is not by volume, but area.
Please accept my apology
