Hey Steve, hope you had fun at the race last night.....it was pretty good, doesn't look like anyone here watched it.
And, pics of the 88 crew please.........
Wes Ward has taken over as Mark McFarland's crew chief at JR Motorsports beginning this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile. Ward replaces Rich Hubbs, who moves back to the position for which he was hired, team manager of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Busch Series effort. Ward, a veteran in the Busch Series, served as crew chief for JR Motorsports' Hooters Pro Cup team and driver Shane Huffman. Earnhardt Jr. hopes to run Huffman in a handful of Busch races later this year. (Scene Daily) (06-24-06)
They will destroy it all though, in the name of "development". :(
Some of us tried, but it was a long week.
I took a short nap in the middle. :)
Hey TB.
have you ever checked these guys out?

researched the guys you FRmailed me about, turns out I've seen the current record holders rig but didn't know he was the record holder...
bunch of real nice guys...
Busch quals up in about an hour and a half (missed the practices as well; I want to catch the whole race tonight). The bad news; rain is now in the forecast (of course, that'll just mean I wander to Herm's pit area).
I'll have the pics offloaded from the camera sometime tomorrow (don't feel like digging out my card reader right now). Also found out a few Cup teams (including all of Team Hendrick) will be in town next week to do some testing for Loudon.
WEST ALLIS, WIS. -- Eight years ago Mark McFarland bought a used racecar from Dale Earnhardt in order to run a family-owned entry in Milwaukee. This weekend, he returned to the infamous Mile driving under the banner of his son, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and the JR Motorsports team.
It was a car we bought off of Senior. It was when Junior was just getting started. It was a car Steve Park drove that year at Darlington. We were running pretty good until we blew a motor, McFarland recalls.
This weekend McFarland, now heading Dale Jr.'s independant run race team, is looking to pick up with a strong run but up the finish as he returns for the first time since 1998 with his purchased hotrod.
Things started things off on Saturday with a new crew chief calling the shots on his No. 88 Chevrolet. Rich Hubbs, who had called the shots for McFarland up to this point, has fallen back into his original position of team manager. Wes Ward, who was acting as crew chief on the Pro Cup entry of teammate Shane Huffman, has taken on crew chief duties

Qualifying for the Busch race is just beginning.
A few raindrops :( hope they hold off!!
Stremme starts them off, Harvick and Bowyer are there already. The other Buschwhackers who have chosen to make the trip are still in the air.
#88 Navy car on track.......GO Mark. 29.785 Second
Casey Atwood qualifies the 18 for Yay Yay and puts it on the pole for now.
Mad Dog Wallace puts the 64 on the pole and hits the wall on the second lap. He can be mad at himself because no one made him spin this time. Probably needs a backup.
Clint Bow Wow takes the pole away from Mad Dog.
Alrighty, well I'm off to a big party in town. Great CW band here, so it's two steppin time. Ya'll carry on!
Well, Well,Well...Two Wallace Bros and a Cousin in the top ten. Yikes!!!
