It's a balancing act. Release the news and get more political support for the war, but it may cause terrorist to feel free to go popping off sarin packed artillery shells that kill tens of thousands. It's that President's call, not the senator's.
I tend to wonder if Bush is releasing this info THROUGH Santorum, rather than Santorum just acting on his own. If Bush had released it himself, the MSM wanks would've said he was only doing it to improve his own poll numbers. If Santorum releases it, Bush isn't associated with it and the information still gets out.
We all knew there were WMDs in Iraq. And most of us know that a lot of what WAS there is now in Syria and possibly Iran because Bush tried to throw the Dems a bone. That's the only thing I really fault him on with regard to the war. Well, that and communication in general. Of course, his lack of communication has spurred the Dems to show just how bad for the country they really are.
I think that I would perhaps not do so well in a chess game against Mr. Bush. If this was all strategery from the get-go, I have to say he's done pretty darned well.
