Mustard is persistent. Both are still dangerous if in the shell; Sarin is non-persistant after it's released, which only means it would be probably hours or maybe days but not weeks of killing.

My grandfather was mustard gassed in WWI. It was only after a doctor informed him of how ill he really was, that he died in 1955, 2 months after the birth of his first grandson - me.
