The healing balm of the Massachusetts Messiah will bring the crippled and stricken to their feet, which is more than Kerry's speeches ever do for the able-bodied.

ROTFLMAO!

But nobody paid the slightest heed to this line. For all the impact my column had, I might as well have done house calls.

I don't think Steyn lurks on FR, otherwise he would know that all his columns get widely spread and read!

An equally good comment:

As the author remarks, "If one wanted to cure the lame, one could reasonably start with John Edwards."

That was an absolutely brilliant column by Mark Steyn. I loved the part about Edwards and Kerry. Their 'Elmer Gantry moment.' LOL!

Numerous people on FR (including me) have tried to make Mark's point that he makes so well about Ann's 'over the top' style. Her statements that some see as excessively harsh toward the Jersey Girls provide the required bludgeon to get the mules' attention. Polite PC statements would just be ignored, as Mark's were. But he correctly sees that the spotlight she put on this despicable practice of victim trotting-out has changed the landscape for the Democrat/MSM/designated victim coalition.

Ann knows exactly what she's doing when she makes these statements the way she does.
