My husband now 71 had a stent put in his heart a year ago and is on Paxil, a blood thinning medication. He is also diabetic and takes lots of other meds. He doesn't have much energy and gets depressed but not to the point of suicide (I hope). Old age, illness and medication can certainly have bad emotional effects.

Ditter, I hate to tell you this, but Paxil is not a blood thinning medication.

The thing is, I don't think it has to be that way. Western medicine has become so dependent on drugs ... it's like they have no other tools to use except for drugs and surgery. The ineffectiveness of it all has caused me to look at alternative/natural health remedies and I've seen much better results for myself as well as my elderly parents.
