This near atheist Wasp would observe that the most Protestanized (and Mormanized) formerly majority Catholic Latin nation, Guatemala (it is down to about 50% Catholic now, maybe), has not achieved lift off when it comes to the quality of life, since it appears, that many denizens of that nation think Mexico offers a better deal, and vote with their feet, by trying to sneak in. Conflating assorted and sundry concepts with broad unified theories is typically wrong. The human condition is simply more complex.
What leads to God is beyond my pay grade (although I have some opinions about what leads to the good citizen and the good life), since I doubt God exists. My comment is limited to transitory condition on this mortal coil. On that one, I don't think the internecine chatter among Christian denominations, has much relevance. I suspect it is more a status thing.
