Grew up on "lawnk ilant" in the 70's and it was cesspool then. Got a lot of THE NOO YAWK ATTITUDE knocked out of me in basic and North Dakota. I realized then a most of the country does not care for a smartass arrogant pottymouth.

Only have returned for family visits and have noticed definite positive change in attitude. That is except for the mandatory f bomb added to every sentence as either an adverb, noun, verb, or adjective.
However- if you ever want to start a crapstorm, mention
1. you believe in the 2nd amendment,
2. think chuck is a schmuck
and
3. ask your liberal family (who is supposedly educated) why they voted for a Marxist commie lesbian.
