I am hoping that public outrage overtakes him. Marines are supposed to be loyal to each other. Murtha is all too eager to throw Marines under the train in his quest for the position of Majority Leader. He had huge political benefits from his time in the Marine Corps. He should have some loyalty and give the Marines the presumption of innocence instead of saying in public they killed civilians in "cold blood".
All of the Marines that I've ever known are, far beyond the loyalty of any other service branch. Being a former squid, I can't say for sure but I'd suspect that many Marines would be more than willing to use the epithet "ex-Marine" to describe murtha.
Exactly! Murtha is either an idiot or one monstrous opportunist. He will keep his seat unless the good people of his district are ashamed of him. And I don't know how they are feeling. (I sent Diana Irey a donation regardless.)
